Attorney General Yehuda Weinstein said on Wednesday that he opposes the decision of the Ministerial Committee on Settlement Affairs to order the military to transfer control of the Beit Ezra building in Hevron to local Jews, because he believes there are legal difficulties with the decision.
According to a report in Haaretz, Weinstein is recommending that the government instruct the local families of Jews to leave the building, without associating anyone with the property at this time.
Leftist organizations have appealed to the Supreme Court to evict the families from the building.
