Maxim Oknin the Deputy Mayor of Arad told Arutz Sheva news that illegal Bedouin squatters have no right to complain about the government plan to build new communities in the region.
"It is inconceivable that the Bedouin who took over state land illegally are now claiming it is forbidden to remove their homes," he stated. He added that if illegal squatters took over land in posh north Tel Aviv, it would be understandable if the government removed them.
