Former Deputy IDF CoS Gen (Res.) Uzi Dayan said Tuesday morning that public opposition to a raid on Iran was detrimental to Israeli security interests.

Speaking to Israel Army Radio, Dayan said that the threat of a military strike was essential for the success of the sanctions against Iran, and publicly doubting such a raid was counter-productive. “In my opinion, the concerns over the consequences of a strike on Iran’s nuclear installations are unnecessarily exaggerated.”
