Labor MK Amir Peretz said Monday that the government needed to prevent the increase in the price of bread. Peretz called on Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu to “stop hiding behind slogans. Just like he knows how to impose economic edicts, he must act to prevent this one, which would be equivalent to throwing salt in the wounds of the the middle class and the poor.”
Bread under government price control is set rise by 6.53% next Monday. The increase follows a global increase in the price of flour.
