The Regavim group on Monday appealed to the High Court, demanding that the state intervene to halt illegal Arab building in the Southern Hebron Hills region. The construction, Regavim said, endangers travelers on highways that connect Jewish communities in the area. Several of the buildings were constructed very close to highways and could be used to attack motorists, the organization said.
Numerous rock throwing attacks and terror attacks have taken place in the area, Regavim said in its petition. Therefore it was asking the Court to force the Civil Administration to enforce laws already on the books to demolish illegal structures.
