An IDF soldier allegedly received poor medical care over the course of months, with serious results, Kol Yisrael radio reports. The soldier saw doctors dozens of times and complained of stomach pain, vomiting, nausea, and bloody stool, but none of the doctors sent him for certain blood tests even when he requested them.
The young soldier’s mother eventually intervened, and he was diagnosed with a serious intestinal illness. His weight had dropped from 75 kilo to 51 kilo.
An IDF spokesperson said the incident is being investigated.
