Prices for gas are likely to rise yet again next month, after climbing some 40 agurot in August, sources in the Energy and Water Ministry said. Prices for 95 octane gas could climb as much as 25 more agurot on September 1, the next time the price is scheduled to change.
The increase would be due to a continued rise in the price of oil and gasoline, exacerbated several weeks ago by a major fire in a California refinery. The expected price of 95 octane gas, NIS 7.95 per liter, would be an all-time high, if it comes to pass.
