Moderate to sharp losses were recorded, Thursday, as the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange ended the trading week. The TA Composite Index closed at 988.77, down .32 percent, while the TA 100 declined .31 percent to 996.10, including a .27 percent drop by the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues.
Worst hit were the oil and gas stocks, which fell 2.4 percent to 1,000.23, followed by most of the technology index, which finished the day at 351.34, down 2.27 percent, while the biomed isssues slipped .06 percent to 739.04. The real-estate stocks closed at 249.98, down .72 percent, while the insurance index declined .63 percent to 763.29 as the financial institutions posted a close of 746.57, down .42 percent, including a .37-percent drop by the bank issues to 819.60. The communications and media stocks closed at 395.90, down .34 percent.
