A group of 160 Syrian refugees, including 36 women and 48 children who were travelling in a fishing boat, arrived in southern Italy on Wednesday.

The boat was spotted offshore by a coastguard unit that escorted them to port. All 160 Syrians, who were reportedly in good health, were taken to a reception center.
