The New Spirit, or Ruach Hadashah held an event for young immigrants in Jerusalem. Entitled, Local Talent - A Young International Get-Together, the event was attended by new immigrants from a variety of different countries to discuss networking with representatives from various fields such as government, finance, non-profit and journalism. The group stated that "New Spirit is an organization which aims to make Jerusalem a young, vibrant city through projects promoting culture, affordable housing, community and professional networking."

The group has recently organized young families to purchase blocks of new apartments directly from building contractors in an effort to reduce the price. Music for the event was provided by the Jerusalem-based Alexey and the La Basta Band.
