The Knesset Committee for Security and Foreign Affairs approved the Civil Defense Law Amendment exempting local authorities and the IDF Home Front Command from supervision of shred private and industrial bomb shelters.

Committee member MK Aryeh Eldad (National Union) castigated the decision, “Threasts to the Home Front are escalating, but the authorities refuse to take responsibility in advance of the next war and inquiry commission.

MK Eldad submitted hundreds of reservations, and will act as a one-man filibuster to correct the amendment.
