Following recent drownings, MDA has published a series of water safety regulations:
Always obey the lifeguard and stay within his range.
Swim only when he is on duty.
Avoid wild water play or jumping into shallow water.
Never reach a state of exhaustion.
Avoid swimming by a wave breaker where powerful whirlpools form.
Always supervise young children at the pool or ocean.
In case of drowning, avoid risk when rescuing the victim. Dial 101 for MDA and administer chest massage.
