Housing Minister Ariel Attias (Shas) revealed Tuesday that his ministry will be spending more than one billion shekels to help Israelis obtain housing. One-fourth of a billion shekels will go to purchasing new apartments for public housing.

Another 750 million shekels will go to speeding up the building process, and in particular, speedy construction of new housing for young couples.
