Two well-known reggae singers will perform at the second annual Zion Reggae Festival in Jerusalem. Alpha Blondy is known for his song Jerusalem which has been covered by several Israeli musicians. Hailing from the county of Cote D'Ivoire, the singer uses Hebrew in several of his songs including Jerusalem, Masada, Yitzchak Rabin and other Israeli themed tracks.
Other performers will be Barrington Levy from Jamaica, and two Israeli groups, Shabak Samech and Hatika 6. The concert will be in Jerusalem's Sacher Park on August 28th. Last year Ziggy Marley was the keynote performer.
