Ban Strongly Condemns Sinai Terror Attack

United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon strongly condemned on Monday the terror attack on a border checkpoint in the Sinai Peninsula, which killed 16 Egyptian police officers and was followed by the penetration of the border into Israel, putting Israeli citizens potentially at risk.

“Such attacks are totally unacceptable,” said a statement released by Ban’s office. “The Secretary-General hopes that the perpetrators will be swiftly identified and brought to justice.”
