Kerem Shalom Crossing Closed Temporarily

The Kerem Shalom Commercial Crossing from Israel to Gaza will be closed, Monday, due to Sunday evening's terror attack, close to the facility. Five terrorists were killed when Israeli helicopters blew up a stolen Egyptian armored personnel carrier after it crashed into the crossing.

The defense establishment will consider security arrangements for the crossing in the next few days as it constitutes the only conduit for the transfer of goods from Israel to the Hamas-controlled area. Chief of Staff Benny Gantz of the Israel Defense Forces, accompanied by Southern District Commander Tal Russo and Gaza Division Commander Yossi Bachar toured the area of the attack, Monday morning, and talked with soldiers involved in defending the crossing, Sunday evening.
