Sinai Border Attacks Expected to Continue

Sources in the defense establishment said, Monday morning, that Sunday evening's events illustrate how volatile Israel's border with Egypt is, and expect attack attempts to continue.

Israel hopes the attack on two Egyptian positions, which killed 16 Egyptian soldiers, will cause the Egyptian leadership to take a more agressive approach to the Hamas government in Gaza. Egyptian president Mohammed Morsi convened an emergency meeting of Egypt's Supreme Military Council and said, "We have ordered the security forces to pursue and arrest those responsible for attacking our children. We will achieve full enforcement of the law in these areas of the Sinai."
