The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) continued searching, Monday morning, for additional terrorists in the area of the Kerem Shalom Crossing, following Sunday evening's terror attack on Egyptian army positions and an attempt to penetrate into Israeli territory at the crossing. The bodies of six terrorists were found after IDF helicopters hit the amored personnel carrier involved in the attempted penetration. The IDF issued an all clear after making area civilians stay in their homes most of the evening.
Egypt continued ground and air searches for suspects in the attacks, which killed 16 Egyptian soldiers, according to security sources cited by the Al-Ahram Website. The army surrounded the Egyptian side of the Gaza-border town of Rafah to prevent escapes into the Sinai Peninsula.
