Following reports of aerial and ground attacks on the Kerem Shalom area and the Eshkol Council region, Israel Air Force helicopters were seen, Sunday evening, circling over Khan Yunis and Rafah in southern Gaza. Rafah was the scene, Sunday afternoon, when the Air Force eliminated two terrorists, one of whom was believed to be involved in a recent attack on the Sinai border, which killed an Arab employee of the defense ministry.
An Israeli military source said, following the airstrike, that Hamas and Islamic Jihad would not respond but that other terror groups would. The source said Israel would be respond to followup attacks. It was reported, Sunday evening, that Hamas promised it would take revenge for the afternoon airstrike.
