The average Israeli family's two-month electric bill is expected to be 36 percent higher than in the summer of 2012, according to a Sunday-evening report by Channel 10 television.
The forecasted leap in the bottom line is a combination of the higher-than-average temperatures in July, which led to record use of electricity, coupled with a 25-percent increase in rates since last summer.
