Jordanian Prime Minister: Elections by the end of 2012

Jordanian Prime Minister Fayez Al-Tarawneh said, Thursday, that parliamentary elections will be held by the end of the year and that there would be no amendments to the country's election laws.

Al-Tarawneh said the presence of the independent election committee will ensure fair and transparent balloting, and allow local and international monitors to supervise all stages of the election.
