The number of terror incidents involving Israeli targets decreased significantly between June and July, according to figures released, Thursday, by the Shabak Israel Security Agency. Overall, the number of attacks went from 165 in June to 64 in July. The agency said the decrease was most prominent in the number of incidents originating in Gaza, which went from 99 in June to 28 in July. Those attacks were further broken down as follows: 13 rocket launchings, six mortar-shell attacks, six incidents of small-arms fire, the placing of one explosive device, an attack using an anti-tank weapon and an attack using an anti-aircraft weapon.
The number of attacks in Jerusalem and the Judea and Samaria (Shomron) area went form 56 in June to 36 in July. Most of those attacks involved firebombs.
