Chief Rabbi Shlomo Amar, Rabbi Ovadia Yosef, and Kabbalist Rabbi Benaya Shmueli gathered to discuss the state of the nation, and concluded that in addition to enhanced Torah study and reinforced acts of kindness, the public is also called upon to engage in intense prayer on behalf of all of Israel, in response to recent and impending threatening situations. The Rabbis also recommend the study of a page of The Zohar (definitive Kabbalistic source) that purifies the soul even without comprehension, and the recitation of the Torah passage describing the offering of the incense in the Holy Temple, reputed by our sages to be capable of stopping the Angel of Destruction, and bringing Divine wealth and prosperity.
