President Barack Obama of the United States informed Congress, Tuesday, that he has ordered intensification of sanctions against Iranian oil exports and other aspects of the Iranian economy.

Obama stressed, in a statement, that his administration remained committed to finding a diplomatic solution to the Iranian nuclear threat, but that Tehran was obligated to meet its international committments.
