Deputy Minister: Israeli TV Ignores Seniors

Member Knesset Lea Nass, the Deputy Minister for Senior Citizen Affairs, sent a letter, Tuesday, to the management of the Israel Broadcasting Authority, Educational Television and the Second Broadcast Authority, in which she claimed that the broadcasts of the channels regulated by these bodies don't take the needs and tastes of the aging population into account.

In the letter Nass noted, "This population, numbering about 800,000, represents no small part of the audiences of these stations but 'merits' being ignored almost completely in terms of the content being broadcast."
