Prices were slightly lower on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange at the start of trading on Tuesday. A few minutes into the session, the TA Composite Index stood at 992.69, down .12 percent, while the TA 100 was down .11 percent at 1,001.59, including a .05 percent slip by the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues.
The communications and media stocks led the gainers, rising .61 percent to 376.53, followed by most of the technology index, which stood at 375.36, up .41 percent, while the biomed issues declined .59 percent to 738.70. The bank stocks stood at 803.36, up .09 percent, as the financial institutions declined .16 percent to 719.83, including a .53 percent drop to 713.36 by the insurance index. The real estate issues stood at 244.83, down .13 percent, while the oil and natural gas stocks declined .14 percent to 1,002.12.
