Jewish Students Attacked by Arabs in Old City

A large group of yeshiva students were attacked by a group of Arabs over Shabbat, as they walked from the Kotel to their hosts, via the Damascus Gate in the Old City. Several of the students were injured, with at least one hospitalized with injuries to the head. He was later released.

One of the students told Arutz Sheva that the students were hit with belts that were taken from stores in the Arab market. The Arabs ambushed a small part of the group at the Damascus Gate as they made their way from the Kotel on Friday night, and a riot broke out, with Arabs throwing refuse at the students. The riot was broken up by border police.
