The Interior Ministry's Population and Immigration Authority reported to the cabinet, Monday, that only six people infiltrated Israel's borders during the weekend, bringing the total for July, to date, to 248. This compares with 1,000 infiltrators in June and 2,000 in May.
All of them tried to cross the Sinai border where the anti-infiltration barrier has not extended. They were immediately taken to holding facilities and none reached the center of the country. With 205 kilometers of barrier erected, the remaining 22.5 kilometers are expected to be completed by October.
