MK Jamal Zahalka has forwarded complaints he said he received from Israeli Arabs to IDF officials that a “chemical” had been used to identify their vehicles. According to the complaints, IDF soldiers were spraying their vehicles with a chemical in order to be able to identify their vehicles when they travel to Judea and Samaria. The Israeli Arab vehicles have the same license plates as all other Israeli vehicles, and Zahalka said that the vehicle owners suspected that the IDF was using this method to differentiate them from other drivers.
The IDF has not commented on the charges.
