Hundreds of people marched Sunday morning in Tel Aviv to protest the deportation of illegal aliens from Israel. Among the protesters were a number of Holocaust survivors, who joined with high school students to protest the government's returning of hundreds of African illegal immigrants back to their home countries.

One of the survivors told reporters that the majority of aid workers in old age and nursing homes were Eritrean, and they were dedicated workers. The survivor said that given the Jewish experience as unwanted refugees during the Holocaust period, the state should do better by these immigrants.
