Legal Forum Seeks Gov't Discussion on Migron Attorneys

The Legal Forum for the Land of Israel asked Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu, Friday, for a discussion at the next cabinet meeting of the conduct of the attorney general and State Attorney's Office against the Ministerial Committee on Settlements regarding a petition by residents of Migrom against a Supreme Court eviction order. In a letter to Netanyahu Forum head Nachi Eyal wrote, "Despite the clear decision of the ministerial committee that Migron should not be harmed before checking the claims of the residents regarding acquisition of the land, the prosecution did not raise the issue aggressively, as demanded, before the Supreme Court justice. There is sequential and deliberate conduct which the government must stop."

He continued, "Whoever closes his eyes now cannot say that he was unaware and did not understand the future compromise of the Supreme Court, to destroy Migron because the state did not express a sharp, decisive stand against the destruction pending a re-examination of the ownership claims."
