The Tel Aviv Stock Exchange finished the trading week, Thursday, with moderate gains, as most of the featured indices posted gains. The TA Composite Index rose 1.09 percent to 979.92, while the TA 100 closed at 988.16, up 1.13 percent, including a gain of 1.27 percent to 1,093.09 by the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues.
The same percentage increase meant a final posting of 372.67 for the communications and media stocks. Most of the technology index led the gainers, rising 2.53 percent to 365.16, while the biomed issues finished the day at 743.94, up 1.33 percent. The Ma'ala organization's socially-responsible companies rose .76 percent to 678.95 and bank stocks advanced .65 percent to 802.34 as the financial institutions closed at 719.78, including a .24 percent decline to 714.39 by the insurance index. The real estate issues closed at 244.43, up .57 percent, followed by the oil and natural gas stocks, which closed at 1,002.91, up .46 percent.
