A new campaign urges religious-Zionist couples to join the Garin Torani (Torah “seed groups”) in southern Tel Aviv. The groups reside in the Shapira and Hatikva neighborhoods, both socio-economically weak areas that recently became home to many thousands of illegal entrants.
The groups aim to bolster the Jewish presence in the neighborhoods, assist local Israeli families and maintain synagogues and other religious institutions.
