      15,579 More in Judea, Samaria

Data from the Population Registry shows that 15,579 new residents joined those in Judea and Samaria (Shomron) over the past 12 months, according to Yisrael Hayom. Most of the growth was in small towns and villages outside the “settlement blocs.”

The total Israeli population of Judea and Samaria now stands at more than 350,000, nearly double the 2000 population of just over 190,000, the paper said. The numbers do not include the roughly 300,000 Israelis living in Jerusalem neighborhoods that were annexed to Israel after the Six Day War.
