Siyum HaShas for Daf Yomi at Jerusalem Great Synagogue

A community wide Siyum HaShas for the completion of the Daf Yomi will take place in Jerusalem featuring many renoune rabbis from the English speaking world.

The eveing is being sponsored by the Israeli division of the International Young Israel Movement in partnership with Yeshiva University Israel Alumni, the Jerusalem Great Synagogue, the Council of Young Israel Rabbis in Israel, and Kollel Torah Mitzion.

Daf Yomi literally means "a page a day", and is the system in which people read one page a day of the Talmud. After 7 and a half years, all tractates of the ancient Jewish work are read.

Celebrations for the completion and renewal of the new cycle of learning will take place all over the world. The Jerusalem Great Synagogue celebration will feature Rabbi Adin Steinsaltz, Rabbi Dovid Miller, Rabbi Shlomo Riskin, Rabbi Dovid Gottlieb, Rabbi Shmuel Hershler, and many more.

The event will be held Thursday, August 9th at 7:45pm. The evening is free and open to both men and women.
