UN Official Still Claims Jewish Communities Illegal

UN official Robert Serry stated on Wednesday that he does not agree with the Levy Report which declared all Jewish communities in Judea and Samaria to be legal under international law. Serry is the United Nations Special Coordinator for the Middle East Peace Process and the UN Secretary-General’s Personal Representative to the Palestine Liberation Organization and the Palestinian Authority. Serry made the comments at a meeting of the UN Security Council.
Retired Israeli Supreme Court Justice Edmond Levy wrote a detailed report declaring that Jewish communities in areas liberated from Jordan in the 1967 Six Day War did not break the 4th Geneva Convention's ban on building homes in conquered territory.
