320 new immigrants to Israel will be landing on Wednesday. The new olim will be making aliyah from France, the United Kingdom, South Africa and South America. The Jewish Agency for Israel will hold a special welcoming ceremony that will feature the the Minister of Interior, the Chief Rabbi of Israel and the Jewish Agency Chairman. A job fair and expo will take place following the ceremony at the Ramada Hotel in Jerusalem in which the new immigrants can register as official Israeli citizens for such things as a bank account, phone service, health insurance service and more.
The 1950 Law of Return stipulates that as the ancestral homeland of the Jewish people, any Jewish person can gain citizenship.
