IDF Investigating Possible Sinai Shooting Attack

An Israeli vehicle was damaged Monday afternoon in what may or may not have been a shooting incident at the Egyptian border. IDF troops and Border Guards were called in to investigate whether the vehicle, which had a broken headlight, had been shot at from across the Egyptian border, or whether the shots had come from within Israel.

Last month, workers at the site of the security fence in the south were shot at from the Egyptian side of the Sinai border. One man working on the fence's construction was killed, and a terror cell from Sinai managed to sneak into Israel and fire an RPG rocket and open fire at a group of workers, injuring one.
