Chairman Shaul Mofaz of the Kadima party issued a statement, Monday afternoon, against the backdrop of the intention of a number of Kadima Knesset members -led by former member of Knesset Tzachi Hanegbi - to leave the faction for Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu's Likud party. The statement started, "Whoever held negotiations with Netanyahu and was ready to be part of the Hanegbi-Netanyahu disgrace must do some soul searching with their children, their families and with the public that sent them to the Knesset."
The statement continued, "Whoever wants to join those who don't serve, let him go. Whoever wants to receive a political bribe and sell his values, let him go. He has no place in Kadima and we don't have any desire for him to stay. Whoever does not want to stay in Kadima, we're not holding him by force."
