Most of the indices at the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange posted modest losses at the beginning of trading, Monday. A few minutes into the session, the TA Composite Index stood at 963.44, down .56 percent, while the TA 100 declined .58 percent to 970.80, the same percentage drop producing a 1,066.93 posting for the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues.
Worst hit were the oil and natural gas stocks, which fell 1.08 percent to 985.59, followed by the real-estate index, which slumped .65 percent to 247.68. The bank issues stood at 807.59, down .57 percent, as the financial institutions declined six tenths of a percent to 723.62, including a .19-percent drop to 734.22 by the insurance stocks. Most of the technology index stood at 354.09, down .46 percent, while the biomed issues slipped .21 percent to 733.88. The communications and media stocks stood at 375.03, down .29 percent.
