Increased Security at Bulgarian Airports

Increased security measures are going into effect at Bulgarian airports to guard the safety of Israeli travelers in the week of last week's fatal terror attack in Burgas. Under the measures, the landings of flights from Israel will not be announced and passengers will be sent to a separate, guarded compound.

Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman is scheduled, Monday, to travel to Brussels, where he will seek increased security at airports and at Israeli and Jewish institutions in Europe during a meeting with ten European foreign ministers and European Union foreign-policy chief Catherine Ashton. He will also ask that Hizbullah be added to the EU's list of terror organizations.
