A young man was stabbed several times as he stood in the doorway of a synagogue in Kiryat Ata in northern Israel Saturday night. He was stabbed in the upper and middle parts of his body. Volunteers from the Ichud Hatzalah organization transported him to Rambam Hospital in Haifa for treatment.

In a separate incident, an Arab was stabbed as he walked down a main street in Netanya. He was treated on the spot and then taken to a nearby hospital for treatment. Local police have opened investigations in both incidents.
