Hundreds of recruits to the IDF were gathering Sunday morning as part of the newest draft round by the IDF. The IDF said that the number of recruits was similar to the numbers enlisted over the past several years. There were enough recruits to fill the necessary positions in combat units, an IDF spokesperson said.

Recruitments and registration at the IDF induction center in Tel Hashomer will continue during the coming week. IDF officials said that there had been a significant rise this year in the number of recruits who had expressed interest in joining the Homefront Command.
