Islamic Jihad Denies Fleeing Syria

A senior leader of the Islamic Jihad terrorist group has denied reports that the group’s leaders have left Damascus. Nafaz Azzam told the Bethlehem-based Maan news that the terrorist organization’s headquarters are still in Syria’s capital.

A source told the London-based paper Al-Sharq il-Awsat that Islamic Jihad has effectively left Syria, but has not officially ended its stay in the country in order to avoid cutting ties with the Syrian regime.
