An American official confirmed on Thursday Israel’s assessment that the suicide bomber who blew himself up in a Burgas, Bulgaria, killing five Israelis, was a member of a Hizbullah terror cell operating in Bulgaria.
The official told The New York Times that the terrorist had been “acting under broad guidance” to hit Israeli targets when opportunities presented themselves, and that the guidance had been given to Hizbullah by Iran, its primary sponsor.
