Egyptian sources reported on Thursday evening that former Vice President Omar Suleiman, who died in the U.S. at the age of 76, will be laid to rest in a military funeral in Cairo on Friday.

The Head of Egypt’s Supreme Council of the Armed Forecs, Field Marshal Mohamed Hussein Tantawi, who worked closely with Suleiman for many years, is expected to attend the funeral.
