Syrian rebels gained control, Thursday, of a crossing on the Turkish border and one on the Iraqi border. Security forces on the Iraqi side of the El Abu-Kamal crossing said they closed it after the takeover. A spokesman for the Free Syrian Army said the opponents of President Bashar Al-Assad took over the Bab Al-Hawa crossing on the Turkish border and removed the president's picture.
About 20,000 Syrian citizens crossed the border into Lebanon, Thursday. A source in the Lebanese Border Guards confirmed the figures.
