Four girls were arrested, Thursday evening, in the Maoz Zion outpost, next to the Binyamin region community of Giv'at Assaf, according to the Honenu legal-aid organization, which is handling their case. Security forces who went there demanded that the girls leave, citing an order that declared the outpost a closed military zone. The girls claimed they had been living there nearly 10 months so the order did not apply to them.
Following an hour-long discussion, during which the police denied the accuracy of the girls' statements, the girls were arrested and taken to the Sha'ar Binyamin station for interrogation. Honenu described the girls as older than 18, students, and members of the core group that established the outpost, last fall, and which has populated the place since then, along with other people.
