Led by the technology sector, most of the indices on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange closed out the week with moderate gains in mixed trading on Thursday. The TA Composite Index closed at 975.47, up 1.6 percent, while the TA 100 rose 1.71 percent to 983.62, including a 2.08-percent jump to 1,079.46 by the Maof 25 most-widely-invested issues.
Most of the technology stocks ballooned 7.59 percent to 358.87, while the biomed index finished the day at 726.11, up .99 percent. The oil and natural gas issues advanced .46 percent to 1,006.82, while the real estate stocks closed at 253.60, up .15 percent. The insurance index slumped 1.86 percent to 747.00 as the financial institutions finished the day at 736.52, down 1.51 percent, including a 1.75-percent drop to 818.87 by the bank issues. The communications and media stocks declined 1.63 percent to 384.33.
