Jewish Worshiper Attacked in Hevron at Ancient Spring

A Jewish worshiper was hit in the head by rocks as he made a visit to the ancient Abraham Spring in Hevron. He was knocked unconscious and treated by a Magen David Adom emergency medical team and taken to the hospital, according to the Tazpit news agency.

The Avraham Avinu Spring is adjacent to the Cave of Patriarchs and Matriarchs and the Avraham Avinu neighborhood of Hevron, and is visited by about a dozen Jewish pilgrims every day. The spring is one of the most ancient in Israel and is dated to the time of the Bible.
